Plot

Shankar (Dhanush), a short-tempered young man, falls in love with his college classmate Mukti (Kriti Sanon). Their bond grows stronger, but everything changes when Mukti decides to leave him and marry someone else.

Set in Banaras, the film follows Shankar’s emotional turmoil and the impact of unfulfilled love on both their lives. The story explores passion, heartbreak, transformation, and healing.

The movie was first announced in June 2023. Filming began in October 2024 after delays due to Dhanush's commitments.

Film Shooting

A promo video was shot in June 2023. Filming took place in Banaras, Delhi, and Mumbai. Kriti Sanon joined the shoot in February 2025. The final schedule concluded in July 2025.<ref>
