=== Film Development & Casting === This is the third collaboration between director Aanand L. Rai and actor Dhanush. Rai chose Dhanush again because he believed the actor could portray a layered character with emotional depth. Kriti Sanon joined the cast in February 2025. Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav developed the story, dialogues, and screenplay. Although announced in 2023, production was delayed due to scheduling issues and finally began in late 2024.
